Directions by road from Cardigan (Aberteifi)

  • From Cardigan, take the A487 to Fishguard (Abergwaun).

  • At Eglwyswrw, turn right immediately before the post office (Walls ice cream signs), into a narrow lane.

  • The lane then bends to the right - follow the lane up the hill for approximately ¼ mile.

  • Continue straight past the junction you see on your left, and after 100 yds/100 meters, where the lane widens, Ael y Bryn is on your left.

  • Turn in across the cattle grid, where a warm welcome awaits you.

Directions by road from Carmarthen (Caerfyrddin)

  • From Carmarthen, take the A40 to Haverfordwest (Hwlffordd).

  • After passing through LLanddewi Velfrey, turn right at the Penblewin roundabout onto the A478 to Cardigan.

  • At Crymych, turn left at the Crymych Arms onto an un-numbered but good road to Eglwyswrw.

  • At the T-junction, turn left onto the B4332 to Eglwyswrw.

  • At the T-junction (with the church on your right), turn right onto the A487.

Rail connections

Nearest stations: Carmarthen, Whitland and Clunderwen (request stop). First Great Western operate through trains from London to Swansea; change at Swansea for connections to the above stations. Carmarthen is served by one through First Great Western train from London during the week and on Sundays - however, please enquire with train operator(s) for details.
